The Tri-State-Punk is a lamp comprised of vintage; brass and steel pressure gauges, Edison styled light bulbs, water main cover, transmission gears, brake rotor and gas piping. The key components are from each of the tri-states. The large brass pressure gauge is from Philadelphia, the smaller steel pressure gauge is from New Jersey, and the brass water main and cap are from New York. The lamp has a uniquely positioned illuminated LED push button on/off switch under the flip cover of the water main cap. The inspiration came from my love of early American steam trains and a tribute to my grandfather who passed along his creative talents as-well-as his belief that things are not simply disposable. It was made to remind us of a time when travel was a special privilege and trains represented freedom and adventure.
